Regarding the "deadline" for the Specified Investor System

The deadline for our company to transition to the specified investor category under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act is as follows:

December 31st every year

Under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, customers are classified into "special investors" and "customers other than professional investors" (hereinafter referred to as "general investors").

If you are a "specialized investor," you will be exempt from some of the regulations on conduct that apply to financial instruments business operators (such as the obligation to provide documents prior to concluding a contract).
Upon request from the customer, by following the prescribed procedures for each type of contract, a "Specified Investor" who is eligible to be converted to a "General Investor" can be converted to a "General Investor," and a "General Investor" who is eligible to be converted to a "Specified Investor" can be converted to a "Specified Investor."

■ In the case of transition to a specified investor
In principle, the validity period for transitioning to a specified investor status is one year, but in our case, the "deadline" will be the first "December 31st" (including if that day falls on a holiday) after the transition acceptance date.
After the day after the "Deadline Date", your classification will automatically return to "General Investor".
If you wish to continue to be treated as a professional investor, you must apply for renewal by the deadline.
